The paperwork

Terms of Use

Short, plain, and meant to be read. These terms cover the 3JSE website and the 3JSE Shop.

1. What the Shop is

The Shop is a directory of links to examples, kits, templates, and community games created by third parties. 3JSE does not host, mirror, or re-serve that content — creators' own pages remain the canonical source. The Shop exists to help you discover work and open it in your tools.

2. Licensing is stated, not adjudicated

Each entry states the license as declared by its creator. A "✓ verified" badge means a human on the 3JSE project has read the license file at the pinned revision. An "as declared" badge means we are relaying the creator's or platform's declaration and you should check the source yourself. "No license declared" means exactly that — treat the work as all-rights-reserved until its creator says otherwise.

3JSE is not a party to your use of third-party work, does not grant licenses on anyone's behalf, and will not adjudicate licensing disputes. The entry notes exist to help you; they are not legal advice.

3. Your responsibility

  • You are responsible for verifying each entry's license and complying with it — including for commercial use.
  • Some licenses carry obligations that travel with the work (for example, AGPL's network-use terms, or GPL's copyleft). Read them before you build on them.
  • AI-generated work may have unclear or contested rights depending on jurisdiction and creator declaration. Entries flagged with an AI chip should be verified with the creator before commercial use.

4. Be ethical — we're asking, plainly

We make great software; how you use it is your own responsibility. We ask — and by using the Shop you agree to be asked — that you:

  • Credit the humans. Attribute creators when you build on their work, in your credits and in your heart.
  • Respect the declared terms. A permissive license is generosity, not anonymity.
  • Don't pass off others' work as your own. Remix, transform, and ship — but don't repackage someone else's game, AI-generated or not, as if you made it.

5. No warranty

The website, the Shop, and everything linked from it are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that linked content is safe, accurate, non-infringing, or suitable for any purpose. You stage and run third-party code at your own risk — the 3JSE editor sandboxes staged imports, but no software barrier replaces your own judgment.

6. Takedown

Creators control their work. To have anything removed from the Shop, open an issue on github.com/xirtus/3JSE or contact us by email. Removals happen promptly, no questions required.

7. The engine itself

3JSE — the engine, the editor, and this website's own code — is GPL-3.0 free software (LICENSE). Shop entries' licenses are independent of the engine's and govern only the linked work.

8. Changes

These terms live in this repository and evolve with the project. Material changes will bump the version number above and be noted in the commit history.
